Save San Francisco

Stop the Insanity!

San Francisco stands at a critical crossroads, besieged by skyrocketing crime, unbridled drug activity, a pervasive homelessness crisis, billions in wasteful spending, increasing regulations, fees and taxes, and the mass exodus of residents and businesses. These afflictions are the direct consequence of the policies enacted by our district elected San Francisco Board of Supervisors. It's time to halt this downward spiral.

Currently, the system of electing our 11-member district Board of Supervisors is deeply flawed. Every four years, registered voters can cast only one ballot for one supervisor from their district, a system that has resulted in supervisors being elected with very few votes. In the last election, one supervisor clinched victory with 8,237 votes, a mere 1.6% of the City's registered voters. Under district elections, fringe candidates have been elected, whose reckless policies are now devastating our City. This is not democracy and representative government; this is a travesty.

Before the adoption of district elections, San Franciscans wielded the power to elect all 11 members of the Board, ensuring direct accountability through their votes. It’s time to reclaim that power and to restore our right to vote for all 11 supervisors.

San Francisco’s 24-year experiment with District Elections has been divisive and disastrous.

It’s time for change!

That’s the reason why Judge Quentin Kopp (Ret.), former Mayor Frank Jordan, and Robert Guichard need your support to qualify an initiative petition to repeal district elections and provide for the election of 11 Supervisors at-large from 11 districts.

Our proposed Charter Amendment will empower all San Francisco voters to elect all 11 supervisors, while ensuring representation for every district. Supervisors will still be required to reside within their respective districts, but they will be elected by the collective voice of the entire city. This crucial reform will once again allow voters to hold all supervisors accountable for the decisions that shape our lives, our taxes, and the future of our city.

To achieve this vital change, we need your help to collect a total of 49,819 valid signatures of San Francisco Registered Voters by July 8, 2024, to qualify for the November 5, 2024 general election. Together, we can reclaim the promise of our city and build a brighter future for all who call it home.

This may be your last chance to restore responsible Leadership to our City’s government and Save San Francisco.
